From paper-heavy reporting to faster insights, improved accuracy, and full program adoption
Customer Overview
The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) oversees the highway system in Ada County, Idaho, which includes Boise. ACHD’s Commuteride manages one of Treasure Valley’s largest vanpool programs, supporting 600–700 participants with over 100 vans coordinated by just eight staff. As operations expanded and reporting demands grew, ACHD saw the need for a more efficient management solution.

When Growth Outpaced Legacy Systems
As Commuteride scaled, manual workflows became increasingly unsustainable. Staff processed more than 100 handwritten ridership reports each month, spending significant time correcting missing and inaccurate data. An outdated payment portal limited participant self-service and increased administrative risk, while spreadsheets and disconnected legacy systems resulted in errors and lost records. Without access to real-time data, staff focused more on managing information than improving program performance.
A Shift to a Unified, Digital Platform
ACHD selected RidePro to replace fragmented tools with a single, scalable platform designed to support program growth. RidePro unified rideshare postings, participant management, payments, and reporting into one system, eliminating paper-based workflows and manual entry. Participants gained the ability to manage accounts, reports, and payment methods independently, reducing administrative burden on staff. Through guided implementation, training resources, and a phased rollout, RidePro supported adoption across both staff and program participants.
Measurable Gains in Efficiency and Accuracy
With RidePro, ACHD significantly reduced administrative workload while improving reporting accuracy and program visibility. Staff cut report management time from approximately 20 hours per week to just a few hours, and NTD processing time was reduced from nearly three weeks to about one. Paper-based errors were eliminated, financial workflows became simpler to manage, and staff gained quick access to ridership and sustainability data without relying on spreadsheets or manual reconciliation.
What ACHD Says
“All things mentioned, ease of use, reduction in manual work, operational efficiency, and improved accuracy have made a significant impact. We were able to complete our first NTD submission in half the time it would normally take, and with greater accuracy.”
